Taylor Jones

I am an aspiring urban planner with GIS certification, strong writing skills and a background in communication. I enjoy applying the skills I acquired while completing a year-long long-range planning internship with the City of Tacoma toward creating sustainable urban planning solutions that encourage smart growth in cities.

I will graduate Magna Cum Laude in June 2017 and am honored that I will be presented with the President’s Medal for having the most distinguished academic record among graduating seniors. After graduation, I will complete my internship and begin actively pursuing a position in planning or community economic development.

My professional interests include urban housing, community economic development, and creating interesting visuals using digital cartography. In my free time, I enjoy hiking in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, cooking delicious vegan food, hanging out with my cats, and advocating for food justice with the Food Empowerment Project.
